To easily remove or reduce a fluctuation in the deflection angle of a reflection unit.SOLUTION: An optical deflector according to an aspect of the disclosed technology comprises a reflection unit that has a reflection surface and a movable unit that supports the reflection unit, and the movable unit has two means to be driven and deflects light incident on the reflection surface. The optical deflector includes: driving means that drives the two means to be driven; driving signal generation means that generates two driving signals for driving the two means to be driven; high frequency component extraction means that extracts two high frequency components of detection signals for the deflection angle of the movable unit corresponding to the respective two driving signals; and phase adjustment means that adjusts at least one phase of the two driving signals so that the phases of the two high frequency components become opposite phases to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 28
