To provide a shock absorption structure capable of being manufactured inexpensively while having a structure whose cross sectional area is different.SOLUTION: A fiber structure 21 of a shock absorption structure 20 has a first structure 31 composed of a three-dimensional woven fabric having an open cross-sectional shape, and a second structure 41 composed of a two-dimensional woven fabric that is joined to the first structure 31 to form a closed cross-sectional shape. The first structure 31 has a step part 34 in which a thickness is made constant and a cross sectional area in a cross section orthogonal to a load direction Z and a stacking direction is discontinuously increased from a first tip surface 33b to a first base end surface 33c along the load direction Z.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
