To carry out safe hull control according to an outside state including automatic navigation.SOLUTION: A hull control device 10 includes a sensor 40, a propulsion control unit 50, and an AP control unit 20. A sensor 40 measures the speed of an own vessel. The propulsion control unit 50 controls propulsion force of the own vessel. The AP control unit 20 outputs a command to lower propulsion force to the propulsion control unit 50 when a condition is fulfilled to release automatic navigation for matching the speed of the own vessel to that of automatic navigation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
