To provide a collision energy absorbing component for a vehicle and manufacturing method therefor, capable of improving an absorbing effect of collision energy and functioning as a vibration damping material for absorbing vibration generated at a vehicle body upon occurrence of an input of collision load from the front or rear of a vehicle body.SOLUTION: A collision energy absorbing component 1 for a vehicle is provided at the front or rear of a vehicle body and absorbs collision energy upon occurrence of an input of collision load from the front or rear of a vehicle body, and includes a cylindrical member 3 which generates axial collapse and absorbs collision energy and has a top plate part and a vertical wall part following the top plate part and a resin 9 applied or affixed onto outer faces of at least the top plate part and the vertical wall part of the cylindrical member 3. The applied or affixed resin 9, forms a peripheral wall part of a closed sectional space and at least a part thereof with a heated thickness of 8 mm or less and is bonded onto an outer face at a bonding strength of 10 MPa or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車体の前方又は後方から衝突荷重が入力した際に、衝突エネルギーの吸収効果を向上するとともに、車体に生じた振動を吸収する制振材として機能する自動車用衝突エネルギー吸収部品及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】自動車用衝突エネルギー吸収部品1は、車体の前部又は後部に設けられ、車体の前方又は後方から衝突荷重が入力した際に、衝突エネルギーを吸収するものであって、軸圧壊して衝突エネルギーを吸収し、天板部とこれに続く縦壁部を有する筒状部材3と、筒状部材3の少なくとも天板部と縦壁部の外面に塗布又は貼付された樹脂9とを有し、塗布又は貼付された樹脂9は、加熱された後の厚みが8mm以下で閉断面空間の周壁部であって少なくとも当該一部を形成し、かつ10MPa以上の接着強度で外面に接着されていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
