To provide a method by which rotational vibrations of a vehicle body are suppressed while structural modifications of the vehicle body and a truck are moderate.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle which has a vehicle body and plural trucks supporting the vehicle body comprises a rotating suppressor device that has at least a pair of first and second flywheels and controls vibrations of the vehicle body. The rotating suppressor device makes the first flywheel and the second flywheel rotate mutually in reverse directions and also makes first and second gimbal shafts rotate mutually in reverse directions, based on detected values of the vehicle body vibration, the first and second gimbal shafts being orthogonalized respectively to rotation axes of the first and second flywheels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
