To provide a boom head mechanism for a crane truck held by both side plates via different support shafts and in which an auxiliary hoist guide sheave and a main hoist guide sheave are arranged in the middle of a leading end part and on one side of a rear end, respectively, so as to partly overlap, wherein a rope with a socket attached to its leading end is stretched across the main hoist guide sheave from outside.SOLUTION: A gap space in which a rope for suspending a socket is transversely movable is provided in an area partly overlapping between an auxiliary hoist guide sheave and a main hoist guide sheave. While a leading end part of the rope with a rope socket attached thereto is kept lowered, the rope is transversely moved and passed through the gap space to be stretched across the main hoist guide sheave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
