To provide an accelerating device structured so as to prevent a foreign matter from biting an opening part of a case or structured so as to prevent the foreign matter from accumulating between a side of an arm and the opening part.SOLUTION: An accelerating device comprises a pad 200, a case 300 that can be mounted on a vehicle body, an inner movable mechanism 400 stored in the case, and an arm 500 that connects the pad to the inner movable mechanism while penetrating through an opening part 312 provided on an outer wall surface 310 of the case, in which is provided a protruding part surrounding the whole circumference of the opening part and protruding in a direction of the pad.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
