To provide a technique that can maintain connection of an arm to a pedal and a technique that can reduce a possibility that a fully closed stopper bites a foreign matter.SOLUTION: An accelerating device 100 comprises: a pad 200 that is stepped on by a drier; a case 300 that can be mounted on a vehicle body; an inner movable mechanism including a pedal 420 stored in the case 300; and an arm 500 that connects the pad 200 to the pedal 420 while penetrating through an opening part 312 of the case 300. Either an upper surface of the pedal 420 or a front surface wall of the case 300 is provided with a fully closed stopper that defines a fully closing position of an accelerator. A connected part to the pedal 420, of the arm 500 has a first support part that is configured to be able to support the pedal 420 when external force is applied along a closing direction of the accelerator to the arm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
