To provide a history preservation device or the like capable of storing history information suitable for a subsequent use by another person concerning an individual vehicle.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle ECU 100 is used in a vehicle A including an on-vehicle sensor 30 to be used in an operation support or an automatic operation, and stores history information of the vehicle A. The on-vehicle ECU 100 acquires detection information of the on-vehicle sensor 30, and specifies that the vehicle A has been damaged with the use of the detection information. Then, the on-vehicle ECU 100 preserves history information of damage occurrence in a state in which the information cannot be altered by a user of the vehicle A based on specification of damage occurrence.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】個々の車両について、他者による後利用に適した履歴情報の蓄積が可能な履歴保存装置等の提供。【解決手段】車載ECU100は、運転支援又は自動運転に用いられる車載センサ30を備える車両Aにおいて用いられ、当該車両Aの履歴情報を蓄積する。車載ECU100は、車載センサ30の検出情報を取得し、この検出情報を用いて、車両Aに損傷が発生したことを特定する。そして車載ECU100は、損傷発生の特定に基づき、当該損傷発生の履歴情報を、車両Aのユーザによる改変が不可能な状態で保存する。【選択図】図1
