To provide an overhead line abrasion detecting device and an overhead line abrasion detecting method capable of measuring a value equivalent to the remaining diameter based on extracted uneven wear points by automatically extracting the uneven wear points from an image that a trolley wire was photographed with a line sensor camera.SOLUTION: In an overhead line abrasion detecting device with an image processing device 3 for image-processing an image of a lower surface of a trolley wire 4 including an uneven wear portion having a horizontal wear portion and an inclined wear portion photographed by a line sensor camera 1, which is installed for photographing the lower surface of the trolley wire 4 in contact with a pantograph 5 on a train roof, to determine the remaining diameter of the trolley wire 4, the image processing device 3 is provided with a boundary point detection unit 32 for determining positions on the images of one end of the trolley wire 4, an end of the horizontal wear portion, a boundary between the horizontal wear portion and the inclined wear portion, an end of the inclined wear portion, and the other end of the trolley wire 4, from the image of the lower surface of the trolley wire 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】ラインセンサカメラでトロリ線を撮影した画像から自動的に偏摩耗箇所を抽出し、抽出された偏摩耗箇所に基づいて残存直径相当値を測定することが可能な架線摩耗検出装置及び架線摩耗検出方法を提供する。【解決手段】パンタグラフ5に接触するトロリ線4の下面を撮影するラインセンサカメラ1を電車屋根上に設置し、ラインセンサカメラ1で撮影された水平摩耗部及び傾斜摩耗部を有する偏摩耗箇所を含むトロリ線4の下面の画像を画像処理して、トロリ線4の残存直径を求める画像処理装置3を備える架線摩耗検出装置において、画像処理装置3に、トロリ線4の下面の画像からトロリ線4の一方の端部、水平摩耗部の端部、水平摩耗部と傾斜摩耗部との境界点、傾斜摩耗部の端部、及びトロリ線4の他方の端部の画像上の位置を求める境界点検出部32を設けた。【選択図】図2
