PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion assessing device and method that can accurately measure the sliding face width of a trolley line, even if its corners are rounded, and its remaining diameter.SOLUTION: An abrasion assessing device is equipped with a light source 2 that irradiates a range including edges of an abrasion area in an oblique direction from underneath a trolley line T and a flank of a rail track in its widthwise direction, a light receiving unit 3 that receives light rays reflected by the abrasion area and an abrasion assessing unit 20 that assesses the abrasion area from the light reception level of the light receiving unit 3. In the abrasion assessing unit 20, reference light reception levels having a high reflection level to specify a sliding face and a low reflection level to specify a rounded face adjoining the sliding face are set, and the abrasion area including the sliding face of the trolley line T is assessed by comparing the light reception level of the light receiving unit 3 and the reference light reception levels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】トロリ線の摺動面の角が曲面状であっても、摺動面幅を正確に測定し、残存直径を正確に把握することができる摩耗判定装置及び方法を提供する。【解決手段】トロリ線Tの下方でかつ軌道の幅方向側方の斜め方向から、摩耗領域の端部を含む範囲を照射する光源2と、摩耗領域から反射した光線を受光する受光部3と、受光部3の受光レベルから摩耗領域を判定する摩耗判定部20と、を具備し、摩耗判定部20には、摺動面を特定する高反射レベルと、摺動面に隣接する湾曲面を特定する低反射レベルとを有する基準受光レベルが設定され、受光部3の受光レベルと基準受光レベルとの比較により、トロリ線Tの摺動面を含む摩耗領域を判定する。【選択図】図1
