To restrict overdischarge of a battery.SOLUTION: A vehicle 10 includes a battery 11, a voltage detection part 15, a monitoring part 16, a battery ECU 21 and a drive ECU 31. If the monitoring part 16 makes a determination that a failure occurs in the voltage detection part 15, the drive ECU 31 causes the vehicle 10 to carry out a retreat run. The retreat run is carried out within retreat run possible time. The retreat run possible time is calculated using a retreat run termination charging rate lower than a lower limit charging rate of an actual use range of the battery 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
