To reduce a necessary fitting space for adaptation to a non-electrification section in an electric power system for electric motor vehicle that enables travels in both an electrification section and the non-electrification section.SOLUTION: An electric power system PS for electric motor vehicle in which main conversion circuits TCA, TCB supplying electric power for driving a main electric motor M and an auxiliary machine circuit XMC associated with auxiliary machines are connected to a DC electric power line supplied with electric power collected from a pantagraph PT through a main opening/closing device SWM comprises: a first opening/closing device SW1; a second opening/closing device SW2; a reactor FLCH; a charging/discharging voltage conversion circuit PC which has one side connected to the DC electric power line through the first opening/closing device SW1 and the reactor FLCH; a storage battery BT which is connected to the other side of the charging/discharging voltage conversion circuit PC and also connected to the DC electric power line through the second opening/closing device SW2; and a control part CTR.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
