To provide a technique capable of suppressing performance deterioration and damage of a fuel cell due to air shortage while reliably disconnecting a power load where a short circuit accident occurred from the fuel cell in a fuel cell system for executing protection coordination control when an overcurrent is detected in supplying generated power of the fuel cell to a plurality of power loads via respective circuit breakers.SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes: an air storage unit 20 for storing compressed air; and an air release valve 14 for releasing the compressed air stored in the air storage unit 20 to a fuel cell 40 as power generation air. In a protection cooperative control, control means 60 performs an air release process for releasing the compressed air stored in the air storage unit 20 to an air supply path 1 by opening the air release valve 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】燃料電池の発電電力を複数の電力負荷に対して夫々の遮断器を介して供給するにあたり、過電流が検出されたときに保護協調制御を実行する燃料電池システムにおいて、短絡事故等が発生した電力負荷を確実に燃料電池から切り離しながら、空気枯れに起因する燃料電池の性能低下や損傷を抑制できる技術を提供する。【解決手段】圧縮空気を貯留する空気貯留部20を備えると共に、当該空気貯留部20に貯留されている圧縮空気を発電用空気として燃料電池40に放出可能な空気放出弁14を備え、制御手段60が、保護協調制御において、空気放出弁14を開弁させて空気貯留部20に貯留されている圧縮空気を空気供給路1に放出させる空気放出処理を実行する。【選択図】図2
