To provide a quick charger and a quick charging system that even when rated output capacity of a single quick charger is lower than maximum output capacity acceptable to a capacitor, are capable of performing quick charging with the acceptable maximum output capacity.SOLUTION: A quick charger 3 for quickly charging a capacitor 15 mounted on a plug-in type vehicle 9 comprises: a DC power supply unit 17; a power supply control unit 19; a power supply plug 13; a communication unit 23; a supply output capacity determination unit 25; a power supply changeover circuit 27; an external power reception unit 31; and an additional power adder circuit 33. The power supply control unit comprises a power supply abnormality determination unit 20 for determining whether or not the DC power supply unit can normally output DC power. The additional power adder circuit has a function that when the power supply abnormality determination unit determines abnormality of the DC power supply unit, supplies additional DC power to the capacitor when it is determined by the supply output capacity determination unit that additional DC power enables security of required output capacity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】単体の急速充電装置の定格出力容量が蓄電器が受容可能な最大出力容量に満たない場合でも、受容可能な最大出力容量で急速充電を行うことが可能な急速充電装置及び急速充電システムを提供する。【解決手段】プラグイン型車両9に搭載された蓄電器15を急速充電するための急速充電装置3は、直流電源部17と、電源制御部19と、電源プラグ13と、通信部23と、供給出力容量判定部25と、電力供給切換回路27と、外部受電部31と、追加電力加算回路33と、を備える。電源制御部は、直流電源部が正常に直流電力を出力できるか否かを判定する電源異常判定部20を備え、追加電力加算回路は、電源異常判定部が直流電源部の異常を判定すると、供給出力容量判定部が追加の直流電力により必要出力容量を確保できると判定しているときには、追加の直流電力を蓄電器に供給する機能を備える。【選択図】図2
