To provide a travel control device which can prevent seizing of a gear part.SOLUTION: A travel control device comprises: a torque detection part which detects an input torque of a gear part provided on a power transmission path from an engine of an own vehicle; a speed detection part which detects a speed of the own vehicle; a preceding vehicle detection part which detects a preceding vehicle which travels in the front of the own vehicle; and a travel control part which performs following travel control so as to cause the own vehicle to follow the preceding vehicle on the basis of a detection result of the preceding vehicle, and sets a travel mode to a first following travel mode MB for performing speed control so as to perform following travel while avoiding a prescribed speed range S1 on the basis of a value of the input torque and a maintenance time t32 to t33 during which the value of the input torque is maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】ギア部の焼き付きを防止することができる走行制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】走行制御装置は、自車両のエンジンからの動力伝達経路に設けられたギア部の入力トルクを検出するトルク検出部と、自車両の速度を検出する速度検出部と、自車両の前方を走行する先行車両を検出する先行車両検出部と、先行車両の検出結果に基づいて自車両を先行車両に追従させるように追従走行制御を行い、入力トルクの値、および入力トルクの値が維持されている維持時間t32−t33に基づいて、走行モードを、所定の速度範囲S1を避けつつ追従走行を行うように速度制御を行う第1の追従走行モードMBに設定する走行制御部とを備える。【選択図】図4
