To provide a bumper member, which is configured to be able to absorb more collision energy by deformation of a bumper reinforce at an initial stage of the deformation.SOLUTION: A bumper member 1 comprises a bumper reinforce 2 and stays 12A and 12b. The bumper reinforce 2 comprises a pair of first peripheral walls 5 and 6, in hollow shapes extending along a first direction X, which oppose to each other in a second direction Y orthogonal to the first direction X, and second peripheral walls 7 and 8 opposing to each other in a third direction Z orthogonal to the first and second directions X and Y. The stays 12A and 12B are formed in hollow shapes extending in the second direction Y, whose tips are penetrated through the pair of first peripheral walls 5 and 6 and joined to the pair of first peripheral walls 5 and 6 by tube expansion.
