To provide a suspension device that comprises a dust cover and that can prevent dust having entered the dust cover from sticking on a damper rod.SOLUTION: A suspension device 10 comprises: a damper rod 24 which has its base end part inserted into a damper body 22, and can move forward and backward axially; a dust cover 26 which covers a periphery of the damper rod, and extends and contracts as the damper rod moves forward and backward; and energizing means 16 which energizes the damper rod in the advancing direction, an air vent being provided at a lower end of the dust cover. The suspension device comprises: charging means 40 which electrostatically charges the dust cover; discharging means 50 which discharges the electrostatically charged dust cover; and a control part which controls the discharging means to switch the dust cover between the charged state and discharged state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
