To obtain a bumper reinforcement which can suppress a reduction in load absorption efficiency.SOLUTION: In this bumper reinforcement 10, an upper side thick part 28 is formed corresponding to an upper side corner part 32 which is a portion at which a rear wall part 14 and an upper wall part 20 are connected, and a lower side thick part 30 is formed corresponding to a lower side corner part 34 which is a portion at which the rear wall part 14 and a lower wall part 24 are connected. Thus, deformation of a body part 12 such that a cross-sectional shape of the body part 12 is broken by a load F from a vehicle rear side can be suppressed, a reduction in transfer efficiency of the load F from this bumper reinforcement 10 to a crash box or the like can be suppressed, whereby a reduction in absorption efficiency of the load F can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】荷重吸収効率の低下を抑制できるバンパリインフォースを得る。【解決手段】本バンパリインフォース10では、後壁部14と上壁部20とが繋がる部分である上側角部32に対応して上側厚肉部28が形成され、後壁部14と下壁部24とが繋がる部分である下側角部34に対応して下側厚肉部30が形成される。これによって、車両後側からの荷重Fによって本体部12の断面形状が崩れるような本体部12の変形を抑制でき、本バンパリインフォース10からクラッシュボックス等への荷重Fの伝達効率の低下を抑制でき、これによって、荷重Fの吸収効率の低下を抑制できる。【選択図】図2
