PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a collision-resistance load by preventing or suppressing a cross-sectional collapse of a bumper reinforcement of a closed cross-sectional shape.SOLUTION: A bumper reinforcement 14 comprises a long body member 20 having a U-shaped cross section and disposed in a front part or a rear part of an automobile body, and a cover member 22 closing an opening of the U-shaped cross section and becoming a contact surface receiving a load during a vehicle collision. The bumper reinforcement is formed in a closed cross-sectional shape by both members 20 and 22. The bumper reinforcement also comprises a partition member 24 for partitioning a space of the closed cross-sectional shape. The partition member 24 includes a pair of first partition members 24A and 24A arranged separately at a central part position, and second partition members 24B and 24B arranged separately at outward positions from arrangement positions of the pair of first partition members 24A and 24A when viewed in a width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】閉じ断面形状のバンパリインフォースメントの断面崩れを防止ないし抑制することにより、耐衝突荷重の増大を図る。【解決手段】バンパリインフォースメント14は、コ字状断面形状で、自動車車体の前部または後部に配設される長尺形状の本体部材20と、前記コ字状断面形状の開口を塞ぎ、車両衝突時に荷重を受ける当たり面となる蓋部材22とを備え、両部材20,22により閉じ断面形状とされる。そして、前記閉じ断面形状の空間を仕切る仕切部材24を有し、該仕切部材24は中央部位置で離間して配設される一対の第1仕切部材24A,24Aと、該一対の第1仕切部材24A,24Aの配設位置から幅方向で見て外方位置に離間して配設される第2仕切部材24B,24Bとを備える。【選択図】図6
