To provide an eyelid opening determination device and a sleepiness detector that can increase the accuracy of determining the state of opening or closing of the eyelid of a user.SOLUTION: A sleepiness detector 1 includes: a camera 20 for taking an image of the face of a user; an opening degree calculation unit 30 for calculating the eyelid opening degree based on the facial image taken by the camera; a facial angle detection unit 32 for detecting the angle of the face based on the facial image; a distance calculation unit 34 for calculating the distance between the eyelid to the eyebrow based on the facial image; an opening degree correction unit 40 for correcting the eyelid opening degree based on the calculated distance between the eyelid and the eyebrow and the detected angle of the face; and an eyelid opening determination unit 50 for determining the presence of opening of the eyelid by comparing the opening degree of the eyelid with a predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】利用者の瞼の開閉状態の判定精度を上げることができる瞼開閉判定装置および眠気検知装置を提供すること。【解決手段】眠気検知装置1は、利用者の顔を撮像するカメラ20と、この撮像によって得られた顔画像に基づいて瞼開閉度を算出する開閉度算出部30と、顔画像に基づいて顔の角度を検出する顔角度検出部32と、顔画像に基づいて瞼と眉毛との距離を算出する距離算出部34と、検出された顔の角度と算出された瞼と眉毛の距離とに基づいて瞼開閉度を補正する開閉度補正部40と、瞼開閉度を所定のしきい値と比較することにより瞼開閉の有無を判定する瞼開閉判定部50とを備えている。【選択図】図1
