To provide a distance measuring device, a moving body, a distance measuring method and a program with which it is possible to accurately discriminate between the signal of reflected light from an object and a noise signal and improve the accuracy of measuring the distance to the object.SOLUTION: Provided is a distance measuring device for emitting light from a light projection unit, receiving reflected light by a light detection unit and acquiring a detection signal, and measuring the distance to an object on the basis of a time until the detection signal is acquired. The distance measuring device comprises: a first acquisition unit for acquiring information relating to the detection signal; a determination unit for determining the number of times detected by the light detection unit; a measuring unit for performing operation to find a time until reflected light is detected by the light detection unit or a value based on the time, as many times as the detection times; a count unit for counting the number of detection signals for each rank, corresponding to the time or the value based on the time, where the time or the value based on the time is a rank; a specification unit for specifying a rank that corresponds to the largest of total value of count values; thus, finding the distance to the object on the basis of a time that corresponds to the rank or a value based on the time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8

    【課題】対象物からの反射光の信号と、ノイズ信号とを精度よく区別して、対象物までの距離の測定の精度を向上させることができる距離測定装置、移動体、距離測定方法およびプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】投光部から光を射出し、反射光を光検出部により受光して検出信号を取得し、検出信号の取得まで時間に基づいて、対象物までの距離を測定する距離測定装置であって、検出信号に関する情報を取得する第1取得部と、光検出部により検出する検出回数を決定する決定部と、反射光を光検出部により検出されるまでの時間または時間に基づく値を求める動作を、検出回数行なう計測部と、時間又は前記時間に基づく値を階級とし、時間又は時間に基づく値に対応する検出信号の個数を階級ごとにカウントするカウント部と、カウント値の合計値のうち最大に対応する階級を特定する特定部と、階級に対応する時間又は時間に基づく値に基づいて、対象物までの距離を求める。【選択図】図8
