PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired measuring distance within a desired measuring range while suppressing an increase in power consumption.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a distance measuring device which emits light from an optical scanning system including an LD, an LD control part for controlling the LD and a polygon mirror for deflecting light from the LD, and receives reflection light from an object to measure the distance up to the object. The LD control part changes an amount of light emission of the LD within a scanning range in the optical scanning system. In this case, while suppressing an increase in power consumption, a desired measuring distance can be obtained within a desired measuring range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】 消費電力の増大を抑制しつつ所望の測定範囲内で所望の測定距離を得ることができる。【解決手段】 距離測定装置は、LD、該LDを制御するLD制御部及びLDからの光を偏向するポリゴンミラーを含む光走査系から光を出射し、物体からの反射光を受光して前記物体までの距離を測定する距離測定装置であり、LD制御部は、光走査系による走査範囲内でLDの発光光量を変化させる。この場合、消費電力の増大を抑制しつつ所望の測定範囲内で所望の測定距離を得ることができる。【選択図】図6
