To decrease noise emitted when a compressor is started.SOLUTION: In a vehicle height control system, after the pressure of a pressure medium on a discharge side of a compressor is made higher than the pressure of a pressure medium on an intake side, the compressor is started. In a case where the pressure of the pressure medium on the discharge side of the compressor is higher than the pressure of the pressure medium on the intake side when electric current supplied to an electric motor that drives the compressor is switched from OFF to ON, load applied on the compressor in its start increases. Consequently, the compressor is made less likely to rotate in its start, so that the number of rotations of the compressor in its start is decreased or the start of the compressor is delayed. As a result, noise emitted in the start of the compressor can be decreased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】コンプレッサの始動時に発生させられる音を小さくすることである。【解決手段】本車高制御システムにおいては、コンプレッサの吐出側部の圧力媒体の圧力が吸入側部の圧力媒体の圧力より高くされた後に、コンプレッサが始動させられる。コンプレッサを駆動する電動モータへの供給電流がOFFからONに切り換えられる際に、コンプレッサの吐出側部の圧力媒体の圧力が吸入側部の圧力媒体の圧力より高い場合には、始動時にコンプレッサに加えられる負荷が大きくなる。そのため、始動時にコンプレッサは回転し難くなり、始動時のコンプレッサの回転数が小さくなったり、コンプレッサの始動が遅れたりする。その結果、コンプレッサの始動時に発生させられる音を小さくすることができる。【選択図】図6
