To provide a friction resistance reduction device capable of simplifying an air supply mechanism and generating as many air bubbles as possible.SOLUTION: A friction resistance reduction device 1 is composed of: an input side plate 21 fastening a front edge 211 to a bottom 41 and inclined to a rear side of a vessel; an output side plate 22 fastening a rear edge 222 to the bottom 41 and inclined to the rear side of the vessel; an outer casing 23 connected by a connection plate 25 with the input side plate 21 and the output side plate 22 and extending in parallel with the bottom 41 from the front edge 211 of the input side plate 21 to the rear edge 222 of the output side plate 22; and a closing plate 24 sealing right and left ends of an air reservoir 26 surrounded by the bottom 41, the input side plate 21 and the output side plate 22, wherein a gap 261 for suction is formed by a rear edge 212 of the input side plate 21 and a front edge 221 of the output side plate 22, a gap 27 for passing is formed with respect to the outer casing 23 by the rear edge 212 of the input side plate 21 and the front edge 221 of the output side plate 22, and an air introduction pipe 3 is connected to the air reservoir 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
