To achieve tracking traveling capable of suppressing an interruption of another vehicle between the preceding vehicle and a subsequent vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle motion control device of a subsequent vehicle connected nonmechanically to the preceding vehicle to enable tracking traveling includes: a target track acquisition part for acquiring a target track for tracking a traveling track of the preceding vehicle generated on the basis of acquired information about the preceding vehicle; and an actuator control output part for outputting a command to perform tracking traveling to the preceding vehicle so as to make the closest approach distance to the preceding vehicle maintain a preset distance to a control part of an actuator relating to steering, braking and driving of the subsequent vehicle on the basis of the target track acquired by the target track acquisition part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】先行車と後続車との車両間で他者の割り込みを抑制することが可能な追従走行を実現する。【解決手段】先行車と非機械的に連結して追従走行を可能とする後続車の車両運動制御装置であって、取得された先行車に関する情報に基づいて生成される先行車の走行軌道に追従する目標軌道を取得する目標軌道取得部と、目標軌道取得部により取得された目標軌道に基づき、先行車との最近接距離を予め設定された距離に維持するよう先行車に追従走行させる指令を後続車の操舵および制動、駆動に関わるアクチュエータの制御部に出力するアクチュエータ制御出力部とを備える構成とする。【選択図】図5
