PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a ground fault section to be accurately distinguished in a DC electric railway in which DC electric power is supplied to electric cars from a plurality of feeder substations via electric wire.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: a VLD control and data collection device 51, provided for each feeder section of each feeder substation, which includes a shorting switch (VLD 50) interposed between a rail 37 and a ground 38 and closed when a rail-ground voltage rises to or above a set voltage, and which collects electric information including the rail-ground voltage and a current passing through the shorting switch after the shorting switch is closed; and a ground fault discrimination device 60 for discriminating a ground fault from the current value, conduction time and conduction direction of the shorting switch passing current, on the basis of the electric information collected by the VLD control and data collection device 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】複数のき電変電所からき電線を介して電車に直流電力を供給する直流電気鉄道において、地絡事故区間を正確に判別することができるようにする。【解決手段】前記各き電変電所のき電区間毎に各々設けられ、レール37−アース38間に介挿されてレール−アース間電圧が設定電圧以上となったとき閉合する短絡スイッチ(VLD50)を有し、レール−アース間電圧と、短絡スイッチの閉合後に該短絡スイッチを通過する電流とを含む電気情報を収集するVLD制御・データ収集装置51と、前記各VLD制御・データ収集装置51で収集された電気情報に基づいて、前記短絡スイッチ通過電流の電流値、通流時間および通流方向から地絡事故を判別する地絡判別装置60と、を備えた。【選択図】図1
