PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery system with which it is possible to estimate aged deterioration easily and accurately, even for a battery in which a significant hysteresis occurs in part of a charge rate range.SOLUTION: An onboard battery system of the present invention comprises a battery mounted in a vehicle, a voltage detector for detecting the voltage of the battery as a detected voltage value Vb, a current detector for detecting a current flowing in the battery as a detected current value Ib, and a control device for controlling the charge/discharge of the battery, as well as estimating the aged deterioration of the battery on the basis of an open-circuit voltage value Vo obtained from the detected voltage value Vb and an integral current value ΔAh obtained from the detected current value Ib. The battery has a significant hysteresis occurring in part of a charge rate range, that the open-circuit voltage value Vo relative to its charge rate Cb after a continuous charge and after a continuous discharge differs by a given amount or more. The control device estimates the aged deterioration of the battery on the basis of the open-circuit voltage Vo and integral current value ΔAh obtained while the charge rate of the battery is in a non-hysteresis area that represents a charge rate range where no significant hysteresis occurs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】有意なヒステリシスが一部の充電率範囲で生じる電池であっても、簡易かつ正確に経年劣化を推定できる電池システムを提供する。【解決手段】車載の電池システムは、車両に搭載される電池と、電池の電圧を検出電圧値Vbとして検出する電圧検出器と、電池に流れる電流を検出電流値Ibとして検出する電流検出器と、電池の充放電を制御するとともに、検出電圧値Vbから求まる開放電圧値Voと、検出電流値Ibから求まる電流積算値ΔAhとに基づいて、電池の経年劣化を推定する制御装置と、を備え、電池は、その充電率Cbに対する開放電圧値Voが、充電継続後と放電継続後とで一定以上異なる有意なヒステリシスが一部の充電率範囲で生じており、制御装置は、電池の充電率が、有意なヒステリシスが生じない充電率範囲であるノンヒス領域内にあるときに取得した開放電圧値Voおよび電流積算値ΔAhに基づいて、電池の経年劣化を推定する。【選択図】図2
