PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch operation device which can prevent operation error when a device with the touch operation device mounted thereon is in a specific operation state, while implementing simple and quick operation, an operation method thereof and an operation program.SOLUTION: A touch pad 13 includes a plane section 40 and a hemispherical convex three-dimensional section 41. A touch pad control unit 61 includes an operation recognition unit 75 and an operation validity determination unit 76. The operation recognition unit 75 recognizes a gesture operation performed on an operation area of the toch pad 13. The operation validity determination unit 76 determines, when a vehicle is in a manual-operation mode, only a rotation slide operation, which a slide operation of a finger sliding along a lower periphery 41A of the three-dimensional section 41, as a valid operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20

    【課題】被搭載機器が特定の動作状態である場合に、誤操作を防止しつつ、シンプルかつ迅速な操作を実現することが可能なタッチ式操作装置とその作動方法および作動プログラムを提供する。【解決手段】タッチパッド13は、平面部40と、半球状の凸型の立体部41とを有する。タッチパッド制御部61には、操作認識部75、操作有効性判定部76が構築される。操作認識部75は、タッチパッド13の操作領域に対して行われたジェスチャ操作を認識する。操作有効性判定部76は、自動車が手動運転の状態である間は、立体部41の下部周縁41Aに沿った指のスライド操作である回転スライド操作のみを有効な操作と判定する。【選択図】図20
