PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle electric power conversion device whose cooling part improves in cooling characteristic by means of suppressing the reduction of the speed of traveling wind that passes between radiating fins.SOLUTION: This electric power conversion device (railway vehicle electric power conversion device) 20 comprises fins 41 and fins 42 lined up where the fins 41 have different outer shape from the fins 42 seen in a lined up direction (z axis direction) and the fins 41 alternate with the fins 42 one by one. In both ends (X1 and X2 ends) in a traveling direction (X axis direction) of the fins 41 and fins 42, non-superposing regions S2 where the fins 41 are not superposed on the fins 42 when seen in the lined up direction are formed so that the fins 41 and fins 42 hold superposing regions S1 where the fins 41 are superposed on the fins 42 when seen in the lined up direction. In the traveling direction, a length W1 of the fin in the superposed regions S1 at a semiconductor device 21 side root part is longer than a length W3 of the fin in the superposed regions S1 at the top part that is opposite side to the semiconductor device 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】放熱フィン間を通過する走行風の流速の低下を抑制することにより、冷却部の冷却性能を改善することが可能な鉄道車両用電力変換装置を提供する。【解決手段】この電力変換装置20(鉄道車両用電力変換装置)では、整列方向(Z軸方向)から見て互いに異なる外形形状を有するフィン41およびフィン42を含み、フィン41およびフィン42の走行方向(X軸方向)における両端部(X1側およびX2側の端部)には、フィン41とフィン42とが整列方向に対向する重なり領域S1を挟むように、フィン41とフィン42とが整列方向に対向しない非重なり領域S2が形成されている。また、走行方向において、重なり領域S1における半導体装置21側の根元部の長さW1は、重なり領域S1における半導体装置21とは反対側の先端部の長さW3よりも長い。【選択図】図2
