PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a moving object moving in a direction crossing an advancing direction of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision avoidance support apparatus (100) includes: a state determination unit (11) which is mounted on a vehicle to determine whether there may be a moving object that moves in a direction crossing an advancing direction (FD) of the vehicle; first sensors (21, 22) for detecting an object located forward of the vehicle; and an avoidance operation control unit (12) which causes the vehicle to execute avoidance operation determined in advance for collision avoidance, in accordance with a result detected by the first sensor in a determination area of the forward of the vehicle. When a determination is made that the moving object may exist, the avoidance operation control unit uses an area wider in vertical and horizontal directions with respect to the advancing direction, as a determination area, as compared with a case where a determination is made that the moving object may not exist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両の進行方向と交差する方向に進む移動物体を精度良く検出する。【解決手段】車両用衝突回避支援装置(100)は、車両に搭載されて用いられ、車両の進行方向(FD)と交差する方向に進む移動物体が存在し得る状況であるか否かを判定する状況判定部(11)と、車両の前方の物体を検出する第1センサ(21、22)と、車両の前方のうちの判断領域内における第1センサによる検出結果に応じて、衝突回避のための予め定められた回避動作を車両に実行させる回避動作制御部(12)と、を備え、回避動作制御部は、移動物体が存在し得る状況であると判定された場合には、移動物体が存在し得る状況でないと判定された場合に比べて、判断領域として、進行方向に対して垂直な方向且つ水平方向に広い領域を用いる。【選択図】図1
