PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic maneuvering system of a vessel which can vary a course and speed of an own ship by automatic piloting so as to maintain relationship of relative position preset in between the own ship and other ship by detecting position, direction of travel and the speed of the other ship as well as the vessel and automatic maneuvering method of the vessel.SOLUTION: In the automatic maneuvering method which detects information of the other ship concerning voyage of the other ships 2,4,5 and calculates information of the own ship for voyage of the own ship 1 on the basis of the information of the other ships and calculates piloting information for realizing the voyage of the own ship 1 on the basis of the information of the own ship and maneuvers the own ship 1 in accordance with the piloting information, the information of the other ships contains the positions, the direction of travel and the speed of the other ships 2,4,5 and the information of the own ship contains position, course and speed of the own ship 1 which maintain the relationship of the relative position between the own ship 1 and the other ships 2,4,5 prescribed by combining two or more of true azimuth direction or relative azimuth direction of the other ships viewing from the own ship and separated distance between the own ship and the other ships and relationship of positions between the own ship and a protective object and voyage or course of the own ship.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】他船の位置と進行方向と速力を検出して、自船と他船との間における予め設定される相対位置関係を維持するように、自船の針路と速力を自動操船で変更できる船舶の自動操縦システム、船舶、及び船舶の自動操縦方法を提供する。【解決手段】他船2、4、5の航行に関する他船情報を検出し、この他船情報を基に自船1の航行のための自船情報を算出し、この自船情報に基づく自船1の航行を実現するための操船情報を算出し、この操船情報に従って自船1を操船する船舶の自動操縦方法で、他船情報が他船2、4、5の位置と進行方向と速力を含み、自船情報が、自船から見た他船の真方位若しくは相対方位、自船と他船との離間距離、自船と保護対象物との位置関係、自船の航路若しくは針路のいずれか2つ以上を組み合わせて規定された、自船1と他船2、4、5との間の相対位置関係を維持する自船1の位置と針路と速力を含んでいる。【選択図】図2
