PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation structure of a vehicle floor capable of satisfying both sound insulating properties and a weight reduction, by appropriately setting an areal density of a sound absorbing material in a plane of a floor panel, with a consideration to a difference in particle velocity in the plane of the floor panel based on a structure of a floor panel.SOLUTION: In a sound insulation structure of a vehicle floor having a double wall structure comprising a floor panel 1, sound absorbing materials 40A, 40B, and a floor carpet 16, the sound absorbing materials 40A, 40B are provided with low density portions 42A, 42B disposed above a floor frame 15, and high density portions 41A and 43A, 41B and 43B where the floor frame 15 does not exist. Areal density in the low density portions 42A, 42B is set to be smaller than areal density in the high density portions 41A and 43A, 41B and 43B. The rigidity of the floor carpet 16 is set to have high rigidity at portions disposed above the low density portions 42A, 42B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
