PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve safe traveling of a vehicle by taking measures corresponding to an abnormal level when a driver is in an abnormal state.SOLUTION: A driver state determination device 1 includes: a vital sign detection section 11 for detecting a vital sign of a driver of a vehicle; and a determination control section 10 for determining a state of a driver on the basis of a detection result of the vital sign detection section 11. The vital sign detection section 11 includes: a face image sensor 12 for detecting a face image of a driver; and a pulse sensor 13 for detecting the number of pulses of a driver. When it is determined that a blink of a driver or a visual line movement does not exist for equal to or more than a predetermined time on the basis of a face image detected by the face image sensor 12, the determination control section 10 allows a warning device 2 to perform warning in a case where the number of pulses detected by the pulse sensor 13 is within a normal range. In a case where the number of pulses is within an abnormal range, the determination control section transmits an abnormality report showing that a driver is in an abnormal state or a switch command for switching driving of a vehicle from manual driving into automatic driving to a vehicle control device 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】運転手が異常な状態にある場合に、その異常の程度に応じた処置を行うことで車両を安全に走行させる。【解決手段】運転手状態判定装置1は、車両の運転手の生命徴候を検出する生命徴候検出部11と、生命徴候検出部11の検出結果に基づいて運転手の状態を判定する判定制御部10とを備える。生命徴候検出部11は、運転手の顔画像を検出する顔画像センサ12と、運転手の脈拍数を検出する脈拍センサ13とを含んでいる。判定制御部10は、顔画像センサ12が検出した顔画像に基づいて、運転手の瞬目(まばたき)または視線移動が所定時間以上ないと判定した場合に、脈拍センサ13が検出した脈拍数が正常範囲にあれば、警報装置2に警報を行わせる。脈拍数が異常範囲にあれば、運転手が異常状態にあるという異常通知、または車両の運転を手動運転から自動運転に切り替える切替指令を、車両制御装置3に送信する。【選択図】図1
