PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger capable of increasing chances for charging.SOLUTION: A charger 1 can communicate with a vehicle 2. The charger 1 includes: a detection unit 5 that finds whether there is abnormality in at least one of the vehicle 2 and the charger 1; and a control unit 4 that puts the charger 1 in a charging disabled state and has it wait after stopping a charging start process or charging process when abnormality is reported by the detection unit 5 during the charging start process or charging process to the vehicle 2, and puts the charger 1 in a charging abled state and has it wait when abnormality is reported by the detection unit 5 during a charging stop process after completion of the charging process to the vehicle 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
