PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for placing a workpiece on a transport base, a method for lifting the workpiece, and the transport base that are capable of preventing turbulence of the workpiece caused by a reversing direction of the rotation moment generated in the workpiece by gravity force.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for placing an inverted V-shape hanger 4 (workpiece) on a transport base 8. The transport base 8 includes: a base body 81 on which a first leg 5 of the hanger 4 is placed; a linking fixation part 82 to which the first leg 5 is rotatably linked; and a receiving part 83 having a reception surface 85 higher than the linking fixation part 82. The hanger 4 is lifted to place a tip part 65 of a second leg 6 on the reception surface 85, and then the hanger 4 is lowered to rotate the hanger 4 around the tip part 65 of the second leg 6 in order to link and fix a tip part 55 of the first leg 5 to the linking fixation part 82. The hanger 4 is lowered further downward to rotate the hanger 4 around the tip part 55 of the first leg 5 so that the first leg 5 is placed on the base body 81.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
