PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly identify a visual recognition object in a visual line direction of a determination object person, and easily determine a looking aside state in which, a determination object person does not look at the identified visual recognition object.SOLUTION: Based on an image G imaged by an in-vehicle camera 1, a visual feature point which is a visual recognition object which exists on a front side of the vehicle (for example, a preceding vehicle 44, a signal device 45) is detected. Based on the visual feature point and a fixation point of the determination object person, it is determined whether or not, the determination object person is in a looking aside state. For example, when frequency of a visual line movement of the determination object person to the visual feature point is equal to or less than a prescribed value, it can be determined that the determination object person is in a looking aside state in a visual line direction (travel direction). The visual feature point is detected based on a correction image after removing areas R1, R2 in a direction significantly different from the visual line direction, from the image G, and the visual feature point can be detected with restriction to a risk object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】判定対象者の視線方向にある視認対象物を的確に特定しつつ、特定された視認対象物を見ていないわき見状態であることを簡便に判定できるようにする。【解決手段】車内カメラ1で撮像された撮像画像Gに基づいて、車両前方に存在する視認対象物となる視覚特徴点(例えば前方車両44、信号機45)が検出される。視覚特徴点と判定対象者の注視点とに基づいて、わき見状態であるか否かが判定される。例えば、視覚特徴点に対する判定対象者の視線移動の頻度が所定値以下のときに、視線方向(進行方向)わき見状態であると判定することができる。撮像画像Gから視線方向とは大きく異なる領域R1、R2を除外した後の補正画像に基づいて視覚特徴点を検出したり、危険対象物に限定して視覚特徴点を検出することもできる。【選択図】 図3
