PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface condition notification device for a saddle-riding vehicle, which can notify a road surface condition with a characteristic of a saddle-riding vehicle taken into consideration, the road surface condition notification device capable of performing notification only for a specific condition, and a road surface condition determination device for a saddle-riding vehicle.SOLUTION: The road surface condition notification device for a saddle-riding vehicle is provided that includes: a GPS function unit that detects an own vehicle location; an on-vehicle control unit that notifies an occupant when a prescribed condition is satisfied. The on-vehicle control unit acquires wet road information showing whether a road surface within a prescribed distance from a location of the own vehicle is wet, and location information on roads M1 to M6 each having low μ when being wet, i.e. the friction coefficients of the road M1 to M6 when the road surfaces are wet become lower values than that of a normal pavement road. The road surface condition notification device performs notification when the road surface around the location of the own vehicle is wet and the own vehicle approaches the roads M1 to M6 each having low μ when being wet. The on-vehicle control unit perform a notification when the road around the own vehicle location is wet, the on-vehicle is predicted to reach an intersection 73 within prescribed time, and roads M2, M3, M4 and M5 having low μ when being wet are present at the intersection 73.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】鞍乗型車両の特性を考慮した路面状況の報知を特定の状況にのみ行うことができる鞍乗型車両の路面状況報知装置及び鞍乗型車両の路面状況判断装置を提供する。【解決手段】自車位置を検知するGPS機能部と、所定条件が満たされると乗員に報知を行う車載制御装置とを有する。車載制御装置は、自車位置から所定距離内の路面が濡れているか否かの情報であるウェット路情報と、濡れた際の摩擦係数が通常舗装路より低い値となるウェット時低μ路M1〜M6の位置情報とを取得する。自車位置の周辺の路面が濡れており、かつウェット時低μ路M1〜M6に近づいたときに報知を行う。車載制御装置は、自車位置の周辺の路面が濡れており、交差点73に所定時間内に到達すると予測され、かつ交差点73にウェット時低μ路M2,M3,M4,M5が存在するときに報知を行う。【選択図】図5
