PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of detecting abrasion of a friction member, in a vehicular brake system including an electric brake device and an abrasion detector.SOLUTION: A vehicular brake system is configured to: (A) acquire an advanced amount of a driven member and pressing force that is force that the driven member presses a friction member; (B) detect a contact start position that is a position of the driven member at the time when the friction member starts contacting with a rotor; (C) estimate a residual thickness of the frictional member on the basis of the contact start position; and (D) detect partial abrasion of the friction member, by comparing relationship between the acquired advanced amount and pressing force with relationship between the advanced amount and pressing force in a case where it is assumed that the friction member becomes the residual thickness in an even abrasion state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
