PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion resistance improver suitable as a raw material for a tread rubber of a tire maintaining excellent fuel economy and having improved abrasion resistance, and to provide a rubber composition containing the same.SOLUTION: The abrasion resistance improver for rubber contains at least one selected from specific isocyanate compounds or specific blocked isocyanate compounds as a component. The rubber composition contains the abrasion resistance improver, a diene rubber, and carbon black. The carbon black is blended in an amount of 10-100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the diene rubber, and the abrasion resistance improver for rubber is blended in an amount of 0.1-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the carbon black. A tread member of a tire is manufactured using the rubber composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
