PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise reduction collector head of a current collector which can reduce aerodynamic sound caused by a Karman vortex generated behind a collector head without complicating the structure and causing significant cost increase.SOLUTION: A current collector for a railway vehicle comprises a collector head (12) having a slide plate (11) in contact with a trolley wire at an upper part thereof, and collector head support means (15, 16) for supporting the collector head. In the collector head, the slide plate is mounted on a top face of the collector head, and the outer shape viewed from the side is formed so as to be a substantially streamline shape as a whole. A flow passage penetrating in a traveling direction of the vehicle, through which air can pass, is provided between an undersurface of the slide plate and the top face of the collector head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】構造を複雑にしたり大幅なコストアップを招くことなく、舟体の後方に生じるカルマン渦に起因する空力音を低減することができる集電装置の低騒音化舟体を提供する。【解決手段】上部にトロリ線に接触する摺り板(11)を有する舟体(12)と、前記舟体を支持する舟体支持手段(15,16)とを備えた鉄道車両の集電装置において、前記舟体は、舟体の上面に摺り板が搭載され、側方から見た外形が全体としてほぼ流線形をなすように形成され、前記摺り板の下面と前記舟体の上面との間には、車両の進行方向に貫通して空気が通過可能な流通路が設けられているように構成した。【選択図】図4
