PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door impact beam which absorbs relative displacement due to a thermal expansion difference of component parts of a beam body and a vehicle door, and facilitates a mounting work on the component parts of a vehicle door.SOLUTION: A vehicle door impact beam includes a beam body 2, and a mounting part 3 comprising a first bracket 4 and a second bracket 5. The first bracket 4 and the second bracket 5 are connected in a connection part 20 so as to absorb relative displacement due to a thermal expansion difference of component parts 6 of the beam body 2 and a vehicle door, a first locking hole 11 is bored in one bracket of the first bracket 4 and the second bracket 5, and a second locking hole 12 is bored in the other bracket. The first locking hole 11 and the second locking hole 12 are locked at a normal temperature with a temporary locking member 13. The temporary locking member 13 is softened at a temperature equal to or more than a prescribed temperature, and the second locking hole 12 has an engagement hole 12a engaged with the temporary locking member at a normal temperature, and a slit 12b with a width thinner than the maximum inner diameter of the engagement hole 12a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
