PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic shaft having an excellent low friction performance at a high temperature.SOLUTION: A telescopic shaft for vehicle steering comprises: a resin coating on a tooth surface of a male shaft or a tooth groove surface of a female shaft; and a grease composition in a gap between the tooth surface and the tooth groove, where the grease composition having a base oil, a thickener including a diurea compound represented by general formula (I), and a chain hydrocarbon-based polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of 20,000 to 300,000, where the general formula (I) is R1-NHCONH-R2-NHCONH-R3 (in the formula, R2 denotes a 6 to 15C bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group,and R1 and R3 independently denote respective 8 to 22C linear or branched alkyl group).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
