PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical duct which can suppress that water is absorbed into the duct.SOLUTION: A vertical duct 20 comprises a duct 22 which extends to a vertical direction, and is opened at its upper end, and a cap 23 attached to the duct 22 at a duct upper end part 22a. The cap 23 has a cap upper end part 23a which is separated from an upper part, and closed from the duct upper end part 22a, and a cap lower end part 23b which is partially fit to the duct upper end part 22a, partially joined thereto, and opened. The cap lower end part 23b has a gutter part 42 extending over the whole periphery of its external peripheral part, and the gutter part 42 has a drainage port 45 at a position in a peripheral direction of a joining part 46 which is joined to the duct upper end part 22a other than a non-joining part which is not joined to the duct upper end part 22a out of the cap lower end part 23b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
