PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable rigidity in an axial direction with respect to a load in the axial direction at a collision of a vehicle, and to enhance a degree of design freedom of a buffer mechanism.SOLUTION: A slide-type constant velocity universal joint comprises a cup-shaped outside joint member 11, and an inside joint member 12 which is accommodated in the outside joint member 11, and transmits torque while permitting axial displacement and angular displacement via balls 13 between the outside joint member 11 and itself. A shaft 15 is connected to the inside joint member 12 so as to be transmittable in torque. A plurality of protrusions extending to the axial direction are formed at an external peripheral face of the shaft 15, and recesses having fastening margins with the protrusions are formed at an internal peripheral face of the inside joint member 12. The constant velocity universal joint also comprises an irregular fitting part 45 to which the whole are of a fitting contact region between the protrusions and the recesses tightly adheres by pressure-inserting the shaft 15 into the inside joint member 12, and transcribing shapes of the protrusions to a recess forming face of the inside joint member 12, and the shaft 15 is made to be displaceable to the axial direction with respect to the inside joint member 12 by a load in the axial direction which is larger than a joining force of the irregular fitting part 45.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 車両衝突時の軸方向荷重に対して安定した軸方向強度を確保すると共に、緩衝機構の設計自由度を高める。【解決手段】 カップ状の外側継手部材11と、外側継手部材11に収容され、外側継手部材11との間でボール13を介して軸方向変位および角度変位を許容しながらトルクを伝達する内側継手部材12とを備え、内側継手部材12にシャフト15をトルク伝達可能に結合させた摺動式等速自在継手であって、シャフト15の外周面に軸方向に延びる複数の凸部を形成すると共に、内側継手部材12の内周面に凸部と締め代を有する凹部を形成し、シャフト15を内側継手部材12に圧入して凸部の形状を内側継手部材12の凹部形成面に転写することにより、凸部と凹部との嵌合接触部位全域が密着する凹凸嵌合部45を具備し、凹凸嵌合部45での接合力よりも大きな軸方向荷重により、内側継手部材12に対してシャフト15を軸方向変位可能とする。【選択図】 図1
