PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular travel control apparatus capable of reducing the risk of collision with a forward object even in the case where the category of the object changes during braking.SOLUTION: A vehicular travel control apparatus performs: determining which of first, second and third control of a vehicle itself to execute in the case of a category of a forward object being a given category, where the first control is executed in the state of a risk of collision with the object being a first state, the second control is executed in the state of the risk being a second state that is higher than in the first state, and the third control is executed in the state of the risk being a third state that is higher than in the second state; cancelling the first control in the case of the category of the forward object changing from the given category during the execution of the first control; and continuing the second control or the third control in the case of the category of the forward object changing from the given category during the execution of the second control or the third control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】制動中に前方対象物の種別が変わった場合においても、前方対象物に衝突する危険性を低減できる車両用走行制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】この車両用走行制御装置は、前記前方対象物の種別が所定の種別である場合、前方対象物への衝突に対する危険度が高い第1の状態で実行される前記自車両の第1の制御、前記危険度が第1の状態における危険度よりもさらに高い第2の状態で実行される第2の制御、または、前記危険度が第2の状態における危険度よりもさらに高い第3の状態で実行される第3の制御を実行するか否かを判定し、前記第1の制御を実行中に、前記前方対象物の種別が前記所定の種別から変化した場合、前記第1の制御を中止させ、前記第2の制御または前記第3の制御を実行中に、前記前方対象物の種別が前記所定の種別から変化した場合、前記第2の制御または前記第3の制御を継続させる構成を採る。【選択図】図2
