PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train detection device of a railway crossing, which optimizes a construction range of rail plating for enabling secure detection of approaching and separation of a train at a railway crossing while optimizing cost efficiency of the rail plating.SOLUTION: A train detection device of a railway crossing, includes: first rail plating applied on a first section corresponding to a start point of the railway crossing of a rail; and a first detector for detecting at least one of a warning start and a completion of operation at the railway crossing. The first detector measures a start point short-circuit time as a conduction time between the first rail plating and a wheel of a train. The start point short-circuit time is a first predetermined value or more. The first predetermined value is based on a necessary time for operation of the first detector. A length of the first section is based on that the start point short-circuit time is the first predetermined value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】レールめっきのコスト対効果を最適化しつつ、踏切において列車の接近と離脱を確実に検出できるレールめっきの施工範囲を最適化した踏切における列車検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の踏切における列車検出装置は、レールにおける踏切の始動点に対応する第1区間に施される第1レールめっきと、前記踏切での警報開始および動作終了の少なくとも一方を検出する第1検出器と、を備え、前記第1検出器は、前記第1レールめっきと列車の車輪との導電時間である始動点短絡時間を計測し、前記始動点短絡時間は、第1所定値以上であって、前記第1所定値は、前記第1検出器の動作必要時間に基づき、前記第1区間の長さは、前記始動点短絡時間が前記第1所定値以上であることに基づく。【選択図】図2
