PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery device and a recovery method for an unmanned underwater vehicle capable of improving work efficiency of unmanned underwater vehicle recovery work.SOLUTION: A recovery device for an unmanned underwater vehicle 1 is a device for recovering the unmanned underwater vehicle 1 connected to a buoy 11 that can float on a water surface by a rope body 12 to a mother ship, and includes a hook 2 that can engage with the buoy 11 or the rope body 12, a recovery rope 3 connected to the hook 2, and a flying object 4 that can convey the hook 2 and the recovery rope 3. The flying body 4 is moved to a place where the buoy 11 is floating, and the hook 2 is placed on a water surface at a position where the hook 2 can engage with the buoy 11 or the rope body 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
