PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of accurately reproducing colors of a traffic light included in a captured image around the traffic light, a traffic management system comprising the same and an image processing method.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 10 comprises an image acquisition part 13, a signal detection part 16, a color discrimination part 17 and a color setting part 18. The image acquisition part 13 acquires an infrared image from a camera 103 that images the surroundings of a traffic light. The signal detection part 16 detects a light-emitting position of the traffic light included in the acquired infrared image. The color discrimination part 17 acquires information relating to the detected light-emitting position and refers to a design layout of the traffic light to determine a color of the traffic light included in a monochromatic image acquired in the image acquisition part 13. The color setting part 18 performs color scheme processing on a region at the detected light-emitting position of the traffic light included in the infrared image in such a manner that the region becomes the color of the traffic light determined in the color discrimination part 17, and outputs an image in which the region of the traffic light is colored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】信号機周辺の撮像画像に含まれる信号機の色を正確に再現することが可能な画像処理装置およびこれを備えた交通管理システム、画像処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】画像処理装置10は、画像取得部13、信号検出部16、色判定部17、色設定部18を備えている。画像取得部13は、信号機の周辺を撮像するカメラ103から赤外線画像を取得する。信号検出部16は、取得された赤外線画像に含まれる信号機の発光位置を検出する。色判定部17は、検出された発光位置に関する情報を取得し、信号機の設計レイアウトを参照して、画像取得部13において取得されたモノクロ画像に含まれる信号機の色を決定する。色設定部18は、検出された赤外線画像に含まれる信号機の発光位置の領域に、色判定部17において決定された信号機の色になるように配色処理を行い、信号機の領域がカラー化された画像を出力する。【選択図】図1
