PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain tension detection device for a handrail driving device which can detect amounts of deflection of a drive chain to be used in a compression driving-type handrail driving device as well.SOLUTION: A chain tension detection device 6 is configured to comprise: a palpating bar 6c, on end side of which applies a load in a horizontal direction to a chain 1a while being inserted into an inspection hole 5 of a skirt guard 4; a base material 6a that supports a center supporting point part 6d of the bar 6c; magnets 6b that fix the base material 6a to the guard 4; a pressing spring 6e that applies pressure to the other end side of the bar 6c and rotates the bar 6c around the supporting point part 6d; a pressing spring adjusting screw 6f that presses the other end of the bar 6c through the spring 6e; and a scale plate 6g provided in the base material 6a so that moving amounts in a circumferential direction of the bar 6c can be confirmed, where a load applied from the spring 6e to the chain 1a is set to a maintenance specified value by adjusting fastening amounts of the screw 6f and the moving amounts in the circumferential direction of the bar 6c are read out from the scale plate 6g so as to detect amounts of deflection of the chain 1a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】狭圧駆動方式のハンドレール駆動装置で使用されるドライブチェーンについても弛み量を検出できるハンドレール駆動装置用チェーン張力検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】このチェーン張力検出装置6は、スカートガード4の点検穴5に挿入された状態で一端側がチェーン1aへ水平方向で荷重を加える触診棒6cと、棒6cの中心支点部6dを支えるベース材6aと、ガード4にベース材6aを固定するマグネット6bと、棒6cの他端側に圧力を加えて支点部6d周りに棒6cを回転させる加圧バネ6eと、バネ6eを介して棒6cの他端を加圧する加圧バネ調整ネジ6fと、棒6cの円周方向移動量を確認できるようにベース材6aに設けられた目盛板6gと、を備えて構成され、ネジ6fの締結量を調整してバネ6eからチェーン1aに加わる荷重を保守規定値とすると共に、棒6cの円周方向移動量を目盛板6gから読み取ってチェーン1aの弛み量を検出する。【選択図】図2
